I moved to New York a few years ago and my skin didn't love it. 2.400 Credo points and 15 products later, here are my honest thoughts on all the creams, cleansers, mists and oils I've tried.
I totally related to skincare woes after moving! I stocked up before moving to give myself some time to find new favorites. For whatever reason, a cleanser has been so tough to find!
That was very smart to stock up before the transatlantic move! When I lived in Paris, I often went to Mademoiselle Bio in the Marais, they are similar to Credo in the US and have a good selection of clean brands. I also saw that the Parisian brand Typology has a Hydrating Cleansing Milk, that could also be a good one to try out! What have you tried so far?
I am actually testing that one right now and I wish it didn't have hyaluronic acid in it. I think I don't generally like a hydrating forward cleanser. Otherwise, it might be perfect!
Thank you for this list! I’ll definitely check out Dermaviduals when I’m back in Germany :) Do you have any recommendations for a rosemary oil for hair or hair care tips?
Hi Mikaela! So happy you liked the feature :) and very good question on hair care, I can do a review on hair care products next, would that be helpful? Have tried so many shampoos, oils, everything. For rosemary, I tried the Scalp Revival Rosemary Pre-Wash Scalp and Hair oil by Briogeo and liked it! The next shampoo and conditioner I want to try is the Nécessaire shampoo and conditioner with rosemary. I tried heir plain shampoo and that one was ok (wasn’t obsessed with it) but I do think the rosemary one could be much better! x Sarah
I'd love a hair care feature! I used to have the thickest hair, but its thinned out a lot and doesn't feel the healthiest it could be. That's why I'm looking into options and have heard about rosemary oil helping! Thanks for the rec - it looks great and easy to apply!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I’ll definitely add more hair care content to my editorial plan on here and on Instagram then! I also heard that rosemary oil is supposed to be really helpful! I’m going to a scalp analysis on Tuesday, super curious about it! Have you heard of those? It’s becoming quite a popular thing in New York
I haven't heard of those before, but it definitely sounds like something I should look into. Do hair salons offer these services or is it a specialist? Greetings from Chicago - and thanks for all your help! :)
I see a that head spas that offer those, a lot of them seem to be from Japan and South Korea. Maybe try to google either head spas in Chicago or scalp analysis in Chicago. I have my appointment tomorrow, very curious to try it out! I'll include my thoughts in the hair care feature :) greetings back from New York & you're so welcome x
